I've been reading a lot of job specifications and thought it'd be useful to write my "perfect job spec".

Description: IdealCompany is looking for an ambitious all-rounder to join their small, intimate development team. The position involves working with open-source technologies to produce technically precise, highly usable websites and applications.
The company actively engages with emerging technologies and seeks to push the boundaries with web development; candidates are expected to evolve their skill-set and require an aptitude for learning new techniques and technologies.
As a small company, your position will actively involve shaping the software and services that we supply. The ideal individual will have flair and creativity when it comes to web technologies, as well as initiative and insight into potential opportunities.
As a member of IdealCompany's team you'll get involved within the developer community and contribute towards open-source projects and initiatives.
Good social/networking skills beneficial as the company often sends developers to national and international conferences and seminars. Training and personal development is at the core of the company.
Skills: PHP, Perl, Ruby, Python, Javascript, XHTML, CSS, XML, DOM, W3C, SQL, OOP, Design Patterns, Unit Testing, Web Architecture, Semantic Web ...etc.
The Work: The work at IdealCompany is varied. We provide managed web services, consultancy, and produce our own content websites. You'll be working within all of these areas. This might mean you'll spend time developing our core architecture and frameworks and then switch to writing some AJAX-enabled frontend page.
You'll be working with other coders like yourself who share a passion for web development; this is an environment where ideas and concepts are bounced around freely. Internal code-auditing takes place often and results in a very high standard of final product: you'll both learn from the existing coders as well as teach them a few new tricks!
When it comes to the pretty stuff we want you to stay the hell away! We use gifted artists for the graphic design side of things. You will however be involved in the user experience and produce a high standard of usability.
